At the University of Freiburg (Switzerland) the following position is available for the new interfaculty Food Research and Innovation Center:
Study and research councilor in Psychology (100 %)
Our overarching objective is to improve the understanding of factors supporting a sustainable approach to food. An increase in precise knowledge in food production, processing, consumer behavior and the impact of diet on physical and mental health will empower us to innovate and develop sustainable food solutions for the future.

Profile
The candidate demonstrates experience in research along with a track record of international scientific publications in the relevant field. The candidate holds a PhD in Psychology, possessing the required skills to teach and supervise in a Bachelor, Master and postgraduate programs.
They should be willing to teach courses, particularly on consumer behavior and the impact of food on mental health. Candidates pledge to actively participate in administrative duties and teaching commitments, while also demonstrating a proactive approach to develop topical research endeavors, supported by securing external funding on an international level.
The primary language of instruction is English; fluency in German is required.
Tasks
The teaching commitment consists of six hours weekly. The study and research councilor dedicates around 50% of their annual activity time to research tasks, 40% to teaching and 10% of their annual activity time to administrative tasks.
The start date is set for July 1, 2024.
